While cardboard laminating machines enhance product appearance and protective performance, they also involve potential safety risks related to high temperatures, mechanical transmission, and pneumatic systems. To ensure personal safety and stable equipment operation, operators must be familiar with and strictly adhere to relevant precautions, covering pre-start checks, operational monitoring, daily maintenance, and emergency handling.

I. Necessary Pre-Start Checks

Before starting the equipment, confirm that the power supply, air pressure, and grounding are normal. Check that the emergency stop button is functional and that the safety guard is properly installed and secure. Verify that the laminating film specifications match the equipment settings to avoid film jamming, wrinkling, or even breakage due to mismatched film width or thickness. Clean any residual paper or film debris from the feeding and unwinding areas to prevent foreign objects from entering the transmission parts and affecting operation. Inspect the surface of the heating rollers or pressure rollers to ensure there is no residual adhesive or foreign matter adhering to them, which could contaminate the finished product or damage the roller surface.

II. Safety and Quality Control During Operation During the lamination process, it is strictly forbidden to put hands or tools into the paper feeding, film feeding, and lamination areas. If adjustments are needed, use specialized auxiliary tools or stop the machine. Closely observe whether the film tension and cardboard conveying speed are coordinated. If film deviation, wrinkling, or breakage occurs, stop the machine immediately to investigate the cause; do not force continued operation. Ensure the heating temperature setting meets the film process requirements (example data: commonly used range for hot lamination is approximately 120℃~160℃). Excessive temperature can cause film scorching or cardboard deformation, while insufficient temperature will result in weak adhesion. Regularly check the pressure gauge and temperature control instrument values; if abnormal fluctuations are found, adjust or report for repair promptly.

III. Handling Special Materials and Environments When using cold-laminated film or cardboard with sensitive coatings, avoid high-temperature contact. Select a room-temperature lamination mode and control the pressure evenly to prevent coating damage or film shrinkage. The workshop environment should be well-ventilated to avoid excessive moisture causing the film to absorb moisture and blister. When temperature and humidity fluctuate significantly, re-measure process parameters and conduct small-batch trials to confirm the effect. For materials prone to static electricity, an anti-static device can be added to the paper feed path to reduce dust accumulation and operational interference.

IV. Shutdown and Maintenance Precautions
When shutting down, first turn off the heating system and allow the rollers to cool naturally to a safe range before disconnecting the power supply to prevent accidental burns from high-temperature components. Cleaning or maintenance should only be performed after the equipment has completely cooled down. When disassembling rollers or protective covers, follow the lockout/tagout procedure to avoid accidental restarts and potential injuries. Lubrication and replacement of parts must use the manufacturer's specified models to avoid instability or component damage due to compatibility issues.

V. Emergency and Training Requirements
Operators should receive training on the equipment's safe operating procedures, be familiar with common fault phenomena and handling methods, and master emergency stop and power-off procedures. Fire extinguishers and burn-proof protective equipment should be available on site, and clear operating instructions and safety warning signs should be posted. If any abnormal noises, smoke, or odors are detected, immediately stop the machine and notify professional maintenance personnel for inspection. Do not attempt to disassemble live or high-temperature components yourself.

In summary, the precautions for cardboard laminating machines should be taken into account throughout the entire process of preparation, operation, maintenance, and emergency response. Strict adherence to these precautions can significantly reduce the risk of accidents and ensure product quality and long-term stable operation of the equipment.
