Recently, CHM Machinery successfully completed the installation and commissioning of another CHM-A4-2 A4 copy paper production line in Ethiopia. Ethiopia is a key economy in East Africa and has placed increasing emphasis on the development of local light industry in recent years. The country continues to experience rising demand for office paper and cultural paper. However, high-quality A4 copy paper has long relied heavily on imports, with insufficient local processing capacity remaining a persistent bottleneck constraining industrial growth.

CHM Machinery has been actively serving the Ethiopian market for over a decade. To date, more than 30 sets of CHM A4 paper sheeters and A4 paper packaging machines have been successfully installed and put into operation across Ethiopia. CHM-A4-2: A Compact A4 Copy Paper Production Line Designed for Emerging Markets

The newly installed CHM-A4-2 A4 copy paper production line is a compact model specifically designed by CHM Machinery to meet the needs of small and medium-sized paper companies in emerging markets.

Compact Footprint:

The equipment occupies only approximately 46 square meters (7,000mm × 6,600mm × 1,950mm), allowing flexible layout within existing factory spaces without the need for new workshop construction.

High Production Capacity:

Operating at speeds of up to 300 meters per minute with cutting accuracy of ±0.2 mm, the line can process two parent rolls simultaneously, with a maximum output of approximately 13 reams per minute.

Complete Process Integration:

Integrating six major sections-unwinding stand, cross-cutting unit, main machine, conveying system, and sheet collection-the line combines slitting, cross-cutting, conveying, and stacking into a continuous production workflow.

Integrated Automatic Packaging for End-to-End Production from Jumbo Roll to Finished Product

The production line can also be paired with the CHM-A4B fully automatic ream packaging line, enabling fully automated operation from parent roll feeding to finished ream packaging output. The CHM-A4B packaging line integrates electrical automation and PLC control to complete the entire process of ream collection, conveying, packaging, and discharge, with a maximum packaging speed of 40 reams per minute and an actual production speed of approximately 35 reams per minute.

As more CHM A4 copy paper production lines come into operation across Ethiopia, local stationery manufacturers and paper processing companies are now able to produce their own branded copy paper products.
